Last state

I was glad I picked Honolulu as my Hawaiian state to run a 26.2 in- I had heard all of the islands were tough , but this one in the middle

It was humid. The first 3 miles in and last 3 miles were the worst . Thank gosh for a 5am start

After we ran out of the city towards the northern hills, a small breeze helped

Overall good race. Aid stations plentiful and sponges were handed out. 30,000 runners I believe .

I finished not strong, my legs very heavy and my energ depleted by mile 20.
8th in my AG of 1,260 women , top 40 overall.

Thank you to my wonderful friends......
50 Sub. 4 hour marathons and every state goal done.We made the paper too !!!

On to my next goal of a 300 26.2. Buckling down for 2016.

Run the Bucks- Off my 6 seconds Podium

PA run the bucks 26.2

Perfect fall day y the DELAWARE river

Sun and no wind

Started the out n back course at a conservative pace. The river was on our right as we started. About 450 runners for the marathon.

Aid stations every 2 miles were great.

I felt good. Kept my pace on track.

I was one min off on my predictions though. Came up to the 20 mile mark and started my move up to 730 pace from 750. Passed the fourth placed lazy then was bearing down on second and third place. Could not catch them by 5 seconds.

Fourth women overall )

OH Elyria 26.2

Nov. 8 2015 was OH and a 26.2 race )
I was here to upgrade my state to a BQ status. All of my 49 states I have ran a marathon in are BQ 'a except for 4, OH being a state I am redoing over the upcoming 6 months )

The day was perfect. 40 at the start and 45 at the finish

Nice out n back

Gorgeous bike path and very quiet

To get my mind back on track - I kept conservative for the first 14 miles, 800-757 pace

I felt good at mile 18 then at 20 to pick it up to 750 with one 730 mile in

Finished 329. Definite not a good time, but mentally I was strong and feeling good- now ready to push the pace to a sub. 315 this year ))))

Third women overall!!!!

Next PA buck county marathon Nov 15
Then my last state Hawaii Dec 13.
My best friend Beth Pellerito was with me- smashed the half marathon and provided mental support. Love you friend.

Mountain Goat Status and new PB

I made it

I am an official Mountain Goat
This is from racing the USATF-NEmountain race series. I raced
A total of 7 of the 8 for the year .

Thrilled

I placed 9th overall women for the year out of hard competition )

What a challenge it was- yet the best fun and comroderie that I have ever found. Thanks to Chris Dunn and Dave Dunham for the stats and tweets .

My favorites were Cranmore Hill Climb and the fell race at Bretton Woods.

Next year I will race the all terrain series

This past weekend I raced Empire State Syracuse marathon

Crisis at my work made me not  complete the full, so a quick turn at round at mile 11.5 for a total of 18

New PB on my Garmin of 133:21 for the half. Thrilled. Great race.
On to KY, OH, MO and Hawaii 26.2's .....

The fall , 10k and Berlin

Erie marathon was set in Erie PA , rainy day during packet pickup, I was ready for cooler temperatures. I was ready for a good marathon.

The day dawed clear and 50 degrees. Started off at my pace and felt great. One GU, hydrated, on track for a PR.

Then : my foot was tripped up by another foot and we both went down hard on the cement. - mile 12. not good. I was bleeding but not not sure how bad I was hurt- just very upset my race was interrupted. Made it to the med tent , driven, they patched me up. I rested . Then to hotel and home. What a day.sigh.........

The next weekend was the last USATFNE race for the year, The Lone Gull 10k.
Hour drive with my lovey team. I felt good , but very tired. Warmed up with 2 miles. Hit my pace for the first 2, then the tired ness hit me. backed down then tried again at mile 6.

Came in with a horrid time, but good workout and not last on the team. Rounded out the day with 13 miles and needed time with my running teammates.

On to Berlin my 3rd World marathon major race.( Chicago and Boston already)

Very cool city- The Wall was amazing

We did the 5k breakfast run and ended in the Olympic stadium- epic
Race day was perfect, so so many runners, 40,000. Very chilly but no wind.
Great race I ran, although 2 pit stops took 7 min from my time. Ran a neg split and pulled off a fast last 10k feeling stronger and faster.  Beautiful course.
Headed down the right road to faster times and Heath coming ......... A ways to go......

In 3 weeks Syracurse NY marathon. Headed for a sub 315 goal
